Melissa is a writer who feels uncomfortable writing bios, especially in the third person, but here we are, folks.
She is a writer and co-executive producer for “Home Economics” on ABC. She also wrote for the Marvel series “She-Hulk” for Disney+. She served as the on-set writer and acted in the movie “Shotgun Wedding,” starring two important Jennifers: Lopez and Coolidge.
Other TV writing credits include: “Santa Clarita Diet” on Netflix, “Close Enough” on HBO Max, and “Maya & Marty” — Maya Rudolph and Martin Short’s NBC sketch show — which earned her a WGA Award nomination.
She produced and wrote pilots for NBC (“Wolfgirl”) and TruTV (“Small Victories”), and co-wrote a pilot for TBS (“Basic”).
Melissa began her career making way too many videos and doing live comedy at UCB and iO West. She created the smash-hit web series “Adult Wednesday Addams” which earned over 20 million views and received praise from the LA Times, AV Club, and People Magazine, among others. She studied theater at Northwestern University.
Melissa is a mom to her son Henry, a wife to her husband Jeremy, and an attempted cuddler of her cat Dory.
