Melissa is a writer, actor, a Los Angeles native, a graduate of the Northwestern University theater program and a stilted bio writer.
Melissa recently wrote and starred in a pilot for TruTV entitled SMALL VICTORIES, about a young woman and her book club who turn into an amateur vigilante squad.
Last summer, Melissa wrote for Maya & Marty -- Maya Rudolph and Martin Short's NBC sketch variety show. She and the staff have been nominated for a WGA Award for Best Comedy / Variety Sketch Series.
Melissa writes and performs live at UCB in Los Angeles. She was a part of two Maude sketch teams -- Eastwood and Karate Karate.
ADULT WEDNESDAY ADDAMS - Melissa created and starred in the smash-hit web series. In its 13-episode run, the show earned 12 million views and 250,000 YouTube subscribers. It received praised from the Los Angeles Times, People Magazine, MTV, LA Weekly, Marie Claire, HelloGiggles, Daily Dot, Huffington Post, Nylon, Buzzfeed and Bustle. The series was taken down from her channel due to copyright claim, but fans have re-posted it on various platforms.
SHITTY BOYFRIENDS - She starred in this Refinery29 / NewForm Digital digital series executive produced by Lisa Kudrow and Dan Bucatinsky, co-starring Sandra Oh. The show was named a Webby honoree for Best Comedy Series.
BACKSEAT BITCHES - She co-created and starred in this digital series for Above Average. The show was named #5 in LA Weekly's list of the 10 Best Web Series of 2014 and Entertainment Weekly listed it as one of the 6 Online Comedies that Deserve to Be On TV.
